Cecilia Riviere from the ASU Office of University Affairs will speak about the Lower Gila River Collaborative.  This is an interesting and important partnership to restore the lower Gila River ecosystem.  Don't miss this informative event.

Thursday, August 29 is Club Bowling at Bowlero Christown, 1919 W. Bethany Home Road 6:30-8:00PM.  

Thirteen people have signed up--David & Leslie, Regan & Pharns, John & Nelly, Ellen & Ryan, Kelly & Rusty, Mike, Lisa & Beth.  The club is paying for two lanes that will accommodate up to 16 Rotarians and Guests. (Contact John if you sign up after reading this notice as we only have three openings.)

Members/guests will be responsible for their own shoe rental, drinks and food.  A good time will be had by all.  Don't bowl?  Come cheer your team on to victory!!1 

Our guest speaker will be a member of the Cub Scout Council.

The club board meeting precedes this meeting at 11AM.  All club members are always welcome.  

Former member and Past President,  John Angelo,  a long-time realtor in the Phoenix area, will update us on the latest information on the real estate market.

This is a Club Assembly.  Each of the club committees will have an opportunity to report out on their goals for the year, progress made toward those goals, and what the committee will focus on for the remainder of the year.

Andrea Pasquale will be our speaker.  Sun Sounds of Arizona provides audio access to people who cannot read or hold print material.  Reading is done by hundreds of trained volunteers.  

Join us for our first Student of the Month event on Thursday.  We will have three students frpm area highschools and their families attending.  We want to make sure that club members outnumber guests so please mark your calendars and plan to attend.

This is our October Done in a Day Event at Lutheran Social Services located at 2502 E. University Drive #125.

I believe the time frame is 12-1:30 so you might want to plan to stay a bit later on this event.

Join your fellow members and guests for an 8AM hike at North Mountain.  We will meet at the Moon Valley Cafe (Thunderbird Ave an 7th St.) then walk to the Shaw Butte Trailhead at 12896 N. Central Avw., Phoenix, AZ 85022 (Turn South onto Central Ave off Thunderbird Road)  Bring water.

This is our regular November Board Meeting. 

In her role as Foundation Chair, Wilma will update the group on the various aspects of the Rotary Foundation (TRF), celebrate last year's successful accomplishment of our Foundation goals, our goal for this year, and what we have to do to accomplish it.

We will also take a few moments to highlight our activities for our Holiday Project with the Osborn School District.

This is our second Student of the Month program for the year. Let's have a good showing for this always enjoyable event.+

Our speaker is Brian Crum  of Caliber Wealth Development.  In addition we will induct two new members to our club -- Kate Schwartz and Tyler Grantham.  Please plan to be present to welcome these two new Rotarians.  

Also, student/family information on our Holiday Project will be distributed.

The first program of 2025 is Janna Lopez on the topic of Poetic Intelligence. This is probably a topic new to most of us, so let's come to the meeting and learn something new as we begin the new year!

Our program is Sun Sounds of Arizona an organization that provides audio access to print information for those who can't read or hold print material due to a disability.  

Our sepaker is Patricia Dominguez, Director of Kinship Care Services at DUET.  She will talk with us about their longstanding Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program.

Our program today is a report from all our club committees to bring members up to date on accomplishments thus far and goals for the remainder of the year.  Program chairs, please meet with your committees prior to Thursday so you will be prepared to share important details on your committee's work.  

Join President Regan and fellow members to distribute membership brochures about our club to the buildings in the DUET complex.  We are on a roll with membership growth--this is another opportunity to get the word out about our "growing" club and invite potential Rotarians to visit the club and consider membership.

Activity from 11:00-12:00....If we have enough members we should be able to cover the entire complex.  Please join our effort if you can.

This is our third Student of the Month (SOM) program for the year.  Please mark you calendars and join your fellow Rotarians to meet & greet students and their parents.  This is always an uplifting event.
